Steel water tower structures and tank bases from 3m to 12m, designed for the loaded weight of the tank plus wind, with galvanised or painted finishes.
A water tower carries its full design load only when the tank is full — which is exactly when a poorly braced structure finds out. We size legs, bracing and the base plate to the loaded weight plus wind, not to the empty frame.
Standard heights run 3m to 12m in angle or hollow section, with a cross-braced or K-braced frame, a platform deck sized to the tank footprint, and cast-in or bolted holding-down arrangements onto a concrete base.
Access ladders with safety hoops, platform handrails and toe boards are fitted as standard on towers above 3m, and the whole structure can be hot-dip galvanised where maintenance access will be difficult later.
